PPL(A) - Private Pilot Licence (Category A)

What is the licence for?

If you have this licence you can perform prvivate flights, or sport flights all over the world (if you have English radio telephony exam) in daylight in good meteoroligical conditions. .

What requirements do you have to meet?

• Pass a medical examination
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Graduate a secondary school
• Character reference

The way of getting the licince:

After passing the medical examination you can start with the theoretical part. You are taught by instructors and teachers who are the trainers of the pilot students of College of Nyíregyháza. There are the following subjects during the course:

• Aerodynamics
• Meteorology
• Navigation
• Airframes and systems
• Instruments
• Engines
• Health and psychology
• Air traffic rules
• Air traffic services
• Radiotelephony
• Air-law

After passing an exam at Hungarian Civil Aviation Authority (HgCAA), you can start with the practical part of the course. It takes 45 hours and about 120 landings. Flying takes place in training boxes and on visual circuits. At the end of the practical part you have to pass an exam   in the presence of an HgCAA’s examiner. After getting the license, you can fly alon and take your friends and family with you! You can do the course by the following type of aircrafts:

• Cessna - 152
• Piper - 28
• Zlin - 142

PPL(A) is the basic licence. You have to have this is you have to get other licenses!

Category B 

Getting licence for Cathegory B aircrafts authorize you to fly aircrafts whit maximum take of mass between 2100 and 5700 kg. The theoretical part of the course consists of the airplane flight manual (AFM). You have to pass a theoretical exam in the presence of HgCAA. The practical part consists of 7 hours and 20 minutes of flying and ends with an exam in the presence of HgCAA. You can do the course by An-2.

Category C (multiengine)

Having this licence, you can fly aircrafts heavier than 5700kg or which have more than one engine (multiengine). The theoretical part consists of the airplane flight manual (AFM), and aerodynamics of multiengine aircrafts.

Requirements:

• min. 200 hours flown by aircrafts

The practical part consists of 11 hours of flying. During this time you have to learn flying visual circuits and continuing flying in case of one engine failure. The course is done by Pa-23 Aztec. At the end you have to take an exam in the presence of HgCAA.

IR Instrument rating

Having instrument rating you are authorized to fly aircrafts during night time or in case of bad meteorological conditions.

Requirements:

• At least 19 years old
• Min. 100 hours flight time as pilot in command, from which at least 50 hours of flight time is cruise flight
• Valid PPL/HCPL/CPL for aircrafts or helicopters.

The training starts with the following subjects:

• Navigational radio aids, meteorology,
• Air traffic rules (IFR),
• Aircraft operating during daylight and night time according to IFR (instrumental flight rules).

The practical part consists of 50 hours of flying from which you have to do 30 hours on real plane and 20 ones on simulator. The flying is done by a Pa-28 or C152.

Having this rating is essential for working as a pilot!

CPL Commercial Pilot Licence

Trener Ltd has very much experience in training of commercial pilots as we train them in cooperation with College of Nyíregyháza since 1968. As we have rights for training them in school, integrated system, that’s why only 140 flight hours are enough instead of 200 hours to be a commercial pilot in College of Nyíregyháza (Which is a large  saving of money!).

Requirements:

• To be at least 18 years old
• Graduating a secondary school
• Valid PPL (aircraft or helicopter)
• 300NM (540km) cruise flight
• 4 international flights

The theoretical part and the practical is taught parallel, in the same time .

Theoretical part, with exam in the presence of HgCAA:

• Flight procedures,
• Instruments,
• Health and psychology,
• Meteorology,
• Navigation,
• Aerodynamics,
• Engines,
• Radio electronics and procedures,
• Airframes and systems,
• Radiotelephony,
• Air transportation,

After getting CPL, you can work as an official pilot! (transportation of persons and goods, air photo, pleasure flights, etc.) 

Towing rating

Having this rating, you are authorized to tow gliders or a banner.

Requirements:

• To be at least 20 years old
• Valid HCPL/CPL (aircraft or helicopter), or UL A2 PPL with instructor rating.
• Min. 300 flight hours,
• To do the theoretical and practical part of the course and pass the exam in the presence of HgCAA.

• Emergency procedures

The practical part of the course consists of 3 hours and 20 minutes of flight time during which you fly on visual circuits and practice is training boxes.

Instructor rating

Having this rating, you are authorized to train the future’s pilots.

Requirements:

• Min 21 years old.
• Graduate a secondary school.
• Valid CPL (aircraft or helicopter)
• Basic knowledge about instrumental flight,
• Having a valid PPL since ant least 2 years, 400 hours flight time on motor-aircrafts or 300 hours flight time on motor-aircrafts and 150 hours on helicopters, or 250 hors on motor-aircrafts for someone who has instructor rating for gliders or helicopters,
• Instructor training.

Theoretical part, with exam in the presence of HgCAA:

• Aircraft operation, taking extra attention for the mistakes which can be done by the trainees,
• Operating of the aircraft, taking extra attention to the characteristics of the training plane
• Instructing and examination method
• Training knowledge.

The practical part consist of 6 hours of flying on visual circuits and in training boxes. At the end you have to take an exam in the presence of HgCAA.

Banner towing

You imagine a text (max 23 characters), we create it and tow it by a Z-142 aircraft over a place that you wish.

Pleasure flight

You can ask for a pleasure flight at the prices that you can find in “Price” menu. Usually the price includes a flight which lasts about 8-10 minutes and takes place over Nyíregyháza. You can ask for longer flights too. For example during a 30 minutes flight by a Pa-28 we can visit Tokaj, turn back over Tokaj Hill and after arriving back we can fly over Nyíregyháza for a sightseeing. We take photographers (and not photographers too) to over any place that you want. If you are not a photographer but you want picture to be taken about your home, etc., we can do this with our professional photographer.
