Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME IR)

We have reached the top of aviation, so imagine the following situation: you are in single-pilot operation, with a multi-engine aircraft, according to the instrument flight rules. Now among these conditions you have to manage to fly with an one-engine operative aircraft. We will teach you the correct legal and professional solution for these flight situations.

The training package includes the following: 2 hours of flight time in a Piper Seminole twin-engine aircraft, 3 hours of flight time in a multi-engine FNPT II simulator, the instructor fees, the landing fees, the theoretical consultation, and the Hungarian CAA exam.

Training duration: 1-2 weeks, depending on your availability and the current weather conditions

Pre-entry requirements:

  • Valid PPL(A) or higher professional license
  • Valid multi-engine class rating (MEP(Land))
  • Valid CLASS 1 or 2 medical qualification (without instrument flight restriction)
  • Minimum 70 hours of PIC time, of which at least 50 hours are PIC route flights
  • NVFR license if you also want to fly instruments at night
  • ICAO level 4 English language test certificate
  • Completed IR(A), CPL (A) or ATPL (A) theory exams
