Performance-Based Navigation (PBN)

This training is introduced in response to the advancements in aviation, as a good pilot (and pilot training organization) always keeps up with the times.

Nowadays, almost every phase of flight follows the so-called PBN (Performance-Based Navigation) procedures and navigation methods, replacing the traditional methods of navigation. This means that we rely less on ground-based facilities and navigation equipment and increasingly use GPS-based navigation using waypoints.

Information

The training includes 5 hours of theoretical training and 5 hours of training in an FNPT II simulator.

Prerequisites for starting the training

  • at least single-engine instrument license without PBN registration (IR SE) or
  • at least multi-engine instrument license without PBN registration (IR ME)
